What makes a woman want to be in a non-traditional job? What is the biggest hurdle for women who enter non-traditional job fields? What would be good to know in order to avoid hostile work environments? Join Choices host, Judi Moreo, as she interviews Gina Geldbach-Hall, author of Firegal: Rising From the Ashes.
Gina is a woman of great courage and strength. She was one of the first women to join the Clark County Fire Department in Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked her way up through the ranks starting as a fire fighter then becoming an engineer driving fire trucks, to become the first woman Captain in the department’s history. That wasn’t the end though; she went on to become a Battalion Chief – supervising 10 fire stations and 65 fire personnel… Not an easy feat, especially for a woman.
Listen in to find out the challenges she faced and how you might handle similar challenges in your life.
